February 2025 Events

Hello Everyone,
How does it feel to SAVE a stranger’s life and actually what it takes to help? Answer is donors and volunteers like you who helped every Sunday for 8 weeks to register donors.

We at Seva Center For Humanity are continue to serve our community. We would like to give our heartfelt THANKS to Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara Committee Members for facilitating the event on February 9th, 2025 since we found out that there is an emergency of blood shortage effective January 21st, 2025.

As many of you are aware that I am a cancer survivor and committed to save lives by spreading awareness. The Blood Donation helps Cancer blood transfusions which can act as a resource to implement platelets back into the body after treatments as chemo and/or radiation therapy.

Blood Drives are to raise awareness of donation for healthcare and it gives emotional benefits from knowing that you helped a stranger in need and what a feeling we experience serving God.

Maintaining diversity in the blood supply is essential as some blood types are quite rare.

I am so thankful to donors; you are inspiring individuals and congratulate them for helping strangers in unexpected circumstances. Saving lives is not just about physical rescue but also about extending kindness, compassion, grace to those in need and this important message clearly stated in Guru Granth Sahib, and other holy books.

My sincere thanks for helping every Sunday Teena Sharma, Vijay Khanna, Sudhir Kumar, Nobel,Dr. Abha Bhatnagar. In addition Dr Kalra and Dr Wasil who are always there to support.

Thank you again for helping us in serving the community and I am in debt to you all for your help.

Sincerely,

Shashi Malik

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who attended yesterday’s event, and we sincerely missed those who were unable to join us.

Together, we embraced the true essence of Valentine’s Day, fostering the overall harmony and well-being of the family unit through selfless acts of love. We emphasized the importance of honoring our parents, advocating for peaceful conflict resolution grounded in empathy and understanding. This celebration encouraged a balanced approach, harmonizing personal aspirations with the collective needs of the family. We highlighted the significance of leading a virtuous life through selfless service (seva), promoting love for oneself and those around us, alongside engaging activities such as coloring community-themed pictures and word search exercises.

We also held a quiz on Basant Panchami, and we are immensely grateful to Deepak ji for elucidating the historical, spiritual, and cultural significance of this celebration.
