Seva Center of Humanity

The Seva Center of Humanity (SCH) is a not-for-profit charitable organization that has been recently formed and is currently awaiting the approval of tax-exempt status from Internal Revenue Services.
The team of Seva Center for Humanity has been performing community service throughout Long Island for over 10 years.
• Provide awareness sessions in the community regarding health, financial and social events by inviting speakers who are specialized in their fields.
• Provide the Department of Social Services on Long Island with clothes and other essentials for distribution to people who are reentering the society.
• Our group of 50 senior women knit and crochet to provide scarves, blankets, hats, etc which are then distributed to the Department of Veteran Administration for Veterans on Long Island. These are over 800 pieces annually.
• In 2022 the organization intends to provide warm coats and blankets for distribution to the homeless and needy families.
• This year the organization is also looking forward to distributing backpacks to the schools in low-income areas.
• During the initial phase of Covid, the team organized groups of individuals who were provided cloth to make masks which were then delivered to local businesses.
• Distribution of masks and hand sanitizer to religious institutions.
• Spreading the awareness about rights and responsibilities of the immigrant community.
The mission of the charitable organization:
• To promote principles of charitable activities for peace and society regardless of religion, caste, sex, color, or nationality.
• Preparing the bridge to share culture, tradition, and American values between different immigrant communities.
