Members of Seva Center for Humanity met to plan events for 2024 sessions and snacks were served.
In 2024 Seva center for Humanity is promoting Cancer Awareness sessions every month in Guru Nanak Darbar, Hicksville, Donation of chairs were given to Gurdwara for Committee members’ support.
· January: Cervical Health Awareness Month, Blood Donor Month
- February: World Cancer Day (February 4th), National Cancer Prevention Month, Gallbladder and Bile Duct Cancer Awareness Month
- March: Triple Negative Breast Cancer Day (March 3rd), National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month
- April: Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) Awareness Day (April 21st), Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month
- May: Bladder Cancer Awareness Month.Melanoma Monday (First Monday of May)
- June: Cancer Immunotherapy Awareness Month. National Cancer Survivors Day (First Sunday of June)
· July: Sarcoma and Bone Cancer Awareness Month
· August: National Immunization Awareness Month
- September: Blood Cancer Awareness Month, Guide to Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL)
- October: Breast Cancer Awareness Month
· November: Lung Cancer Awareness Month
- December: HIV/AIDS-Related Cancer
And
Every month Seva Center for Humanity will have sessions in Levittown Hall to promote various topics on Education, Cultural programs, Domestic violence and Health awareness. Group will continue to knit/crochet blankets for Veterans and Hat/Scarves for cancer patients.
In addition; to collect clothing, hygiene items and food items for less fortunate families.
